With the extended holiday shopping season and shifting consumer trends, we figured this Black Friday would look a little different from last year….and we were right. Here are the top 5 most-shopped categories on Slickdeals for Black Friday 2020 and their best deals.
1. Home & Home Improvement
Swiping the top spot from Tech & Electronics, we saw the most engagement in our Home & Home Improvement category this year with the best deal on a smart garage door opener hub. The interest in deals on smart home accessories continues to rise as we also saw lots of engagement with smart home deals on Prime Day.

2. Tech & Electronics
Dropping down to second place compared to last year, Tech & Electronics still proves to be one of our most popular categories across major online shopping events. Runner up deals this year were heavily phone-focused, but the best deal came from Apple for their Apple Watch Series 3.

3. Computers
Continuing its run in third place, our Computers category saw lots of engagement this Black Friday with the best deal coming from HP. Runner up deals included monitors and other laptops.

4. Clothing & Accessories
With no change from last year, Clothing & Accessories remained in spot number four this Black Friday with the best offer coming from Crocs. Runner up deals included name brand sunglasses and winter boots.

5. Outdoor Goods
Perhaps our most noteworthy jump this Black Friday was Outdoor Goods, moving from tenth place and stealing spot number five from the Video Games category. With the increase in demand (and price) for outdoor goods due to the pandemic, perhaps folks were eagerly awaiting Black Friday deals from this category. Our top deal featured a YETI tumbler with Solo Stove camping stoves coming in a close second.
